Servant Teams
RUF longs to see students equipped to do the work of ministry (Eph 4:12) on the Winthrop campus. We want to see students learn to use their gifts to serve Christ and bear witness to Him. To that end, we have several servant teams where you can exercise your gifts or develop new ones. Fill out this form to find out more about these teams. One of the leaders will contact you soon.
- Music Team: Leads worship at Large Group meetings and some conferences.
- Service Team: Looks for opportunities to serve the physical and spiritual needs of our community.
- Prayer Team: Helps students learn to pray for and be mindful of God's work in their community.
- Hospitality Team: Helps develop the larger community in RUF, from Large Group to socials.
Small Groups
We believe that there is great value--for Christians and skeptics
alike--in studying and discussing the Word of God together in small
groups. RUF at Winthrop is offering several opportunities this
semester to study the Scriptures in such a setting, and we would like
to invite you to consider joining us for one of these. If you have any
questions about these small groups, feel free to contact us.Small Groups Schedule (Spring 2010):
Guys Study: Wednesdays, 5:30pm, at Westminster. Join us for a free dinner at the church at 5pm, then we’ll go to room 119 for our study. This study is led by Jeff Ferguson and Joel Bowen.
Girls Study: Thursdays, 7:15pm, in Phelps 166. Mary Mathis and Katie Smith will be leading a study on James: Learning to be Hearers and Doers of the Word.
Girls Study: Fridays, 9am, Erin Lee’s house. Lizabeth Swayne will be leading a study on what the Bible says about Relationships: are they a mess worth making?
